Mr Bathing Ape started life as a vehicle for BAPE’s founder Nigo to combine the success he has enjoyed from his world renowned streetwear company with his passion for Saville Row’s classic tailoring. The results were phenomenal. 

In collaboration with design from United Arrows the graphics and signature patterns from his mainline were united with heritage tailored cuts, creating some spectacular pieces. The Spring/Summer 2013 collection continues the success of this approach, showing how Mr. Bathing Ape has matured, bursting out of the great Ape’s shadow.

This collection sees a move toward less formal pieces, maintaining the standards set by the brand’s suiting, but translating them into a polos and crewnecks. Finished impeccably, these pieces feature a highly detailed stitched chest emblem, bearing the brands motto, “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape”.
