York has not been well-served musically, much like it hasn't in professional sport, the occasional Shed 7 and the odd cup upset apart. Could The Blue Dawns be the ones that finally put this most historic of cities on the music map?

Formerly known as The Likely Lads, they released this at the back end of October on Glass Door Recordings who are offering it on their Bandcamp page as a pay-what-you-like download. So I'd go get it if I were you. The video sees them playing on the banks of the Ouse in their home town, just round the corner from an absolutely fantastic boozer.
