Motion Studies was Brooklyn-based Tyler McCauley, but now also encompasses guitarist Tim Angiolillo and drummer Matt Gaffney which creates a richer, deeper and more fully formed sound. In Our Days is their contribution to the American Music compilation put out by Godmode Records.
They got this place two blocks past the post office, I want to say it’s downtown. A red rooster’s painted over the front door. Or maybe a hammer. You know the bar? Wood floors, big speakers. You’d say no thanks and find the shot already in your hand. My kind of people. Last night in Little Rock put me in a haze!! Ha ha. That jukebox was going all night, playing all the hits. We must’ve taken something, right? A dozen rounds deep but nobody felt tired. Nobody fought, nobody puked. We just danced. There’s a picture of me and the bartender hugging and crying, a real powerful image. One of those nights where you could yell anything and get a laugh. So we yelled.
