We've featured a few bands lately that have been around for a while and still have something to say; Gang Of Four, The Pop Group for two examples. Add to them the original misfits' misfits, Nightingales.
Following up last year's self-released LP For Fuck's Sake comes Mind Over Matter on Louder Than War. Robert Lloyd's lyrics have lost none of their wit and cynicism and the band are as good as ever they were.
Our pick from the album is the very meta and knowing Gales Doc, a spoof rockumentary of sorts as Lloyd perhaps gets his jibes in before anyone else can while also picking great holes in the infantilisation of documentary as a genre with it's recaps every five minutes.
