ST DAVID'S CROSS (INVERTED) BY BRYTHON SHAG
Bursting out of Blaenau Ffestiniog come Brython Shag, a punky four-piece named for a logo on a vintage t-shirt one of them owned. Apparently. Apocryphally.
Their debut, self-titled LP came out in Spring and while it has bypassed us until now, it's certainly making ears alight here. It's punk, it's funk, it's indie rock and we feature the only fully English language track off it here. The St David's Cross, for the uninitiated, is a yellow cross on black. Invert it and you get Bangor's Cob Records label where our protagonist is going to go with his weeks wage and splurge it on vinyl.
