You'd think that you'd know what you're getting with De La Soul. After all, 3 Feet High And Rising came out in 1989. But they're at that stage where they can do what they like. They've transcended the rules of what's expected, perhaps even of what's possible. Certainly technology opens up so many new avenues.

And so it was that their ninth studio LP was funded by a kickstarter which took a whole ten hours to reach it's target. Originally intended for spring, we instead had to make do with an EP while the album was put back to August 26. It was worth waiting for.
Collaborations are a theme of the LP, from some you might expect (Snoop Dogg) and some you might not (David Byrne, Justin Hawkins). Little Dragon perhaps fits between those extremes, and the resulting track, Drawn, is not the usual De La fare. Indeed, they barely appear.
