PUT RIGHT BY PISKIE SITS

It's US-influenced lo-fi slacker rock from Wakefield.

Some places are lucky to have a record label that really champions local artists, and so it is with Philophobia from the sprawling metropolis that is Wakey. One Day After School, The Spills, The Michael Ainsley Band are three bands we like a lot here to appear on their books. And the latest one we've found is Piskie Sits.

Their second studio long player came out in November and it's rather good. As mentioned, it's very west-coast influenced and is thoroughly decent. There's a really good feel to it - a cheeky vibe, a playfulness - as well as technical accomplishment.
