2011-12 was pretty special for FC Basel.  Winning a Swiss League and Cup double was certainly good enough, but Champions League wins over Manchester United and Bayern Munich really stood out in an impressive season.

The loss of gifted youngsters Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri to Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich respectively will undoubtedly hit Heiko Vogel’s team, but Basel fans will hope that the arrival of talented Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah and Chilean central midfielder Marcelo Diaz will help ease the pain.  For 2012/13, FC Basel will take to the field in these new kits from adidas.
