Losing the hugely talented Marco Reus to Dortmund this year was a fairly hefty blow for fans of Die Fohlen.  That said, the arrival of Luuk de Jong and Granit Xhaka, two players that featured in The 100 this year, has to be a positive.  We're not at 1970's levels yet, but Borussia Mönchengladbach are certainly on track.
