We see a lot of ‘concept’ football kit designs at IBWM, and while there’s usually some good stuff kicking around, the majority tend to be identikits of what’s already out there. However, We recently caught sight of some work by UK based designer Angelo Trofa, which stands head and shoulders above anything else we’ve witnessed.

Angelo is an in-house illustrator at Mr Porter with a keen interest in football kit design as well as cartoon/comic illustration. Using traditional means of illustration (pencil, ink and paper), but also vector tools, Angelo is gradually building a portfolio of stunning football related work that suggests a rapidly developing talent, as you can see from the Greece, Japan and Hearts examples featured here.
