L'OM AND THE 1993 EUROPEAN CUP FINAL

Basile Boli is 45 today.

Basile Boli had racked up over 250 appearances for Auxerre before signing up for Bernard Tapie’s Marseille project in 1990.  Already capped by France, the Ivory Coast born defender had been a solid performer for AJA, but he developed magnificently at l’OM and during his time on the French South coast laid claim to being one of the best, if not the best, defender in world football.

Today’s video can only really feature one particular game, and It’s the cagey 1993 European Cup Final in which Marseille beat Milan 1-0, with the goal coming from....well, we’ll let you work that one out.
