We like Ibrahim Afellay a lot, always have. We saw a real slow burn happening for the Dutch international at Barca, with him gradually becoming one of Europe’s most influential players.
We were saddened to hear of the dreadful knee injury he picked in training last year, but reports suggest he is making a good recovery, although Euro 2012 will come too soon.
Anyway, the talented winger is 26 today so we thought we’d have some video indulgence. First, a nice flashback piece recorded by Dutch TV channel NOS which features Ibrahim reviewing video of himself as a kid at PSV. We’ve also included the video of THAT training ground goal which really emphasises the technical ability of Afellay.
