There's a lot to be said for picking up a guitar and making a racket. Combine that with a load of la-la-las (just like everyone else does when they can't think of any more words) and lo-fi vocals and you have Chicago five-piece The Orwells. Also, props for upkeeping the tradition of a proper ending to a record, something that seems to have faded out of fashion since the demise of the great Frank Sidebottom.

After a low-key debut album release last year, they were quickly snapped up by Warner on a worldwide deal and they have an EP out, titled Other Voices, on June 24 with an album to follow.
