BASHED, BEATEN & BROKEN (TRIP THE SWITCH) BY GIRL ONE AND THE GREASE GUNS

The trend for band members giving themselves daft names was an all too brief phenomenon back in the 1980s. Here, we have Sissy Space Echo, Warren Betamax, Charles Bronson Burner and Bruce LeeFax, collectively known as Girl One and The Grease Guns. Who are they really? Where are they from? That mystery is missing from the modern world of instant information, so more power to them for that.

Together, they make Cabaret Voltaire-ish noises, which is no bad thing. Bleak, moody, psychedelic synth-pop.
