ACORN MAN BY CTMF
He’s a house favourite and it’s with great pleasure that we note the return of Billy Chyldish and his real live genuine punk band CTMF. Billy describes his band as “the epitome of modern” and their sound as “the sound of yesterday, tomorrow”. As someone that we hold in as high esteem as Strummer or Morrissey, we’ll go with that.
There have been numerous rumours that Jimmy Cauty plays bass here and that it is none other than Bill Drummond that can be heard on Xylophone. Billy, however, muses that though he is indeed friends with Jimmy and has in the past been in correspondence with Bill Drummond, although he has never knowingly heard of the KLF as he “Gave up on music after punk turned crap at the end of 77”.
It's so hard to be happy is taken from Acorn Man which you can pick up via Damaged Goods.
