ORANGE JUICE: REISSUED
This month Domino Records have reissued four classic albums from Orange Juice, Glasgow's finest purveyors of the 'Sound of Young Scotland'. The band, led Edwyn Collins, blazed a trail of self-reliance and literate pop writing in the early 1980's which offered a more upbeat tone than the monochrome suggestion put forward by contempories from North West England; Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen.
Still as relevant now as they were back then, the four albums in question by the pinups of Postcard - You Can't Hide Your Love Forever, Rip It Up, Texas Fever and The Orange Juice - have been remastered, repackaged and are available to buy now at Resident. We heartily endorse....oh, and be sure to say hi to Edwyn on Twitter.
