LAUGHING WATER BY SPACEHEADS

Acid brass - is that a thing? Well if it wasn't, it is now.

Andy Diagram - erstwhile of the Diagram Brothers with whose early 1980s work you really should familiarise yourself - puts his trumpet through loopers and sequencers to create the basis for Spaceheads. Underpinned by Richard Harrison's percussion, they've been around for a while, lurking under the radar. Their ninth album is out later this month and we have the title track for you here, inspired by TV series The Champions. For this album, the rhythm section has been augmented by the double bass stylings of Vincent Bertholet giving a richer, deeper, more rounded sound.

The title track from the new Spaceheads album "Laughing Water" released on Electric Brass Records on Nov 21st 2016. More info http://spaceheads.co.uk/laughing-water/ Spaceheads are Andy Diagram on trumpet with live looping and effects, Richard Harrison on drums and they are joined on this album by Vincent Bertholet on Double Bass.
