APPLE CORER BY MY-RA SUPERSTAR
Chalk another one down to the hothouse that is South Wales. My-Ra Superstar are "[t]he last bastion of good music in this dire age of commercially mass produced, over produced, bloated, talentless, gaudy muzak", so they tell us. "Until now tinnitus was a valid option over mainstream radio", they continue, not entirely unfairly.
Their second album follows hot on the heels of the first. That first one, What Separates Us From The Beasts, came out in 2014 while Some Of These Objects Are Cursed followed in October last year. Both are excellent. Lyricist Syd Howells claims to be "a strange hybrid of Viv Stanshall, Wilf Lunn and Stewart Lee". And, to be fair, you never see those three in the same room.
