FRANKIE SINATRA BY THE AVALANCHES
Melbourne turntablists The Avalanches are back. 2000's Since I Left You is a terrific LP and tracks like the title track and Frontier Psychiatrist still live large in the memory and on the record player. And that appeared to be that until the back end of last year when rumours began to grow about a showing at the Primavera festival. Yes, great, but would it include new material? You bet your ass it would.
The new album is called Wildflower and it's due out in early July. Along with that announcement comes the first single, Frankie Sinatra. Danny Brown and MF Doom provide vocals over a calypso sample from a track by Wilmoth Houdini.
This should do you until July. For more information, try @TheAvalanches
