DANNY LAST SPAIN 2013: #1 RAYO VALLECANO

The first part of what is essentially his Spanish Magnus Opus for 2013, our man Mr Danny Last was over in Espana recently and – as is the norm for Dan – took in several football matches.  While many of us would be happy with a few cerveza’s and a little on the pitch indulgence, Dan made a point of capturing the vibe of his location via his trusty Canon snap and go.  And he does it so well.

We’ll deliver the results of the full odyssey on this page over the coming weeks, but we begin in the Vallecos neighbourhood of Madrid with Dan’s take on Rayo v Valencia at the campo de Fútbol de Vallecas in early May.  Los Franjirrojos went down heavily in this one, 4-0, but the REAL extended highlights are here in our gallery.
