RETURN OF THE TANGO

Hooray!

Last week brought the tremendous news that the return of an old friend was imminent.  To coincide with the draw for the 2012 European Championships, adidas confirmed that the ball of choice for said tournament would be the rebooted (can we say that?) tango.

The adidas tango is still the most evocative of footie spheres and has a heritage that goes back a long way.  We thought it only proper that we revisit Chris King's wonderful ode to the tango which we published in June this year.  We’ve also set up a gallery to celebrate adidas' over forty year supply of wonderful balls with the tango and its equally suggestive forerunner, the telstar, in full effect.  You can visit the gallery by clicking here, and read Chris’ own recollection here.
