ANZHI MAKHACHKALA BY ILYAS HAJJI

We reckon that citizen photojournalism is an area that will expand greatly in the coming years.  The standard of digital cameras that are available to the man in the street, as well as the high quality that can be achieved via smartphones, offers just about anyone the opportunity to take a really great picture.

Ilyas Hajji is a freelance photographer based in Makhachkala, Russia, and for this project used an Iphone/Instagram combo rather than a high level digital SLR camera to capture the feel of his local club Anzhi Makhachkala.  He liked the results and so did we.
