PEA GREEN COAT BY THE WAVE PICTURES

Last week, we brought you a track from a collaboration between The Wave Pictures and French singer Stanley Brinks. We don't usually double up on bands round here, but as The Wave Pictures are on their own this time, it counts. And we make the rules anyway.

This time, the Leicestershire trio have collaborated with house favourite Wild Billy Chyldish, using his studios and equipment in developing the new single Pea Green Coat, an absolute belter of a tune harking back to the very best elements of Dr Feelgood-era pub rock whilst also remaining very much of the moment. It's a song that gets in your head and stays there, but you really don't mind.
