THE SUNSHINE OF YOUR YOUTH BY CHEERLEADER

High quality sunshiney pop from Philadelphia five-piece Cheerleader.
Their debut LP, The Sunshine Of Your Youth, came out in May. It's not deep, it's not radical, but it's jolly pleasant and thrums along at a summery pace without an obvious weak link.
The Daily Breeze say "[t]he entire album has a striking freshness and simplicity, because the band relies on tried-and-true tenets: tuneful songs, powerful but controlled playing, and arrangements crafted for maximum aural impact." Which to us means: not exactly ground-breaking, but really quite good. And as the sun shines through the office window, that's absolutely fine by us.

You know that it's useless looking back There's no redemption there for you You make it a promise to yourself You'll put those habits on the shelf Can you make a promise? To be honest with yourself? While you were out searching for something All of your friends have settled down Has it been this way forever And you've only noticed now? And now you're trying to explain Things that need no explanation And you're searching for some way To do it over again, now it's over Now are you dreaming? Tell me how you're feeling
