HOUDINI BY THE LIZARDS

As opening gambits to attract our attention go, that's right up there with "have you heard this ska band from New Delhi" or "this Icelandic composer has released an LP about the IBM 1501 Processing Unit". 
The Lizards are a four-piece from Birmingham who peddle a brand of psychedelic rock and Houdini is their debut single. It's unashamedly retro, very 1960s west coast stuff, but also with nods to modern purveyors of the genre such as Tame Impala. Accompanying the track is a suitably trippy video.
