IF DOGS COULD TALK... BY A FESTIVAL, A PARADE
Elegant gloom is a difficult concept to pull off, but Newcastle four-piece A Festival, A Parade just about nail it on their latest single.
To do this sort of alt-rock with it's dark, brooding overtones and yet produce something immediately so catchy is a tough thing to achieve. Front man Joe Allan's voice is rich and baritone, entirely fitting for the overall feel of what they do. And their star is in the ascendant given support slots alongside the likes of Maximo Park and Public Service Broadcasting under their belts already.
