We've been meaning to feature these for some time and with the release of a new LP, now is as good a time as any.
Who knew that a chance meeting could lead to Newcastle producing one of the UK's leading soul, funk and dance acts? Well, be thankful it did. DJ/producer Smoove and singer John Turrell have built up quite a following and the new album Crown Posada looks set to build on that. Mixing social commentary and dancefloor-ready rhythms, we feature Fight On, a tale of how even heroes struggle to survive in modern Britain.
