NOCTURNE BY THE EARLY YEARS
The Early Years released their second album - imaginatively titled II - last week, a full ten years after their self-titled debut.
While that debut was unfairly described as 'Coldplay on muscle-relaxers, there is no chance of the new LP being compared to the sheer asininity of Martin et al. We feature the track Nocturne here, and it starts off a bit Echo & They Bunnymen, morphs through mid-period The Fall and ends up somewhere far more progressive and psychedelic. It's an impressive piece. The opener for the album, it sets a tone the rest does well to keep up with.
