Rhythmically psychotic, here's the new single from Ian Bavitz, aka Aesop Rock.
How does he breathe? It's musically and lyrically great, but the delivery makes it stand out. It's the first track taken from the forthcoming album The Impossible Kid which is due out on April 29. It's his first since 2012 and since his relocation from San Francisco to Portland following the death of a close friend. As such, it's a bit on the dark side. The clashing bass and synths provide a fitting background to his piercing vocals to produce an outstanding record as his inspirations are literally pulled from his head in the accompanying video.
