Now, we're often guilty of describing things as 'like Band A if Guitarist B from band C had joined in' and we're aware that it's utterly facile. This writer hates doing it yet seems incapable of stopping. This track skewers the concept. The terrace chant of "You think you're shit hot, and you're half right" echoes throughout. Take that, pseudo-intellectual music writer person.
The track appears on the EP APE! which came out last month from London quartet White Ape, an EP jam-packed with intelligent, surly, witty lyrics underpinned by punkish guitars and a tangible snarl. All in all, good stuff. And if you like The S [stop it - Ed]
