THE NEW MASTERS BY ANTON CORBIJN

IBWM StaffComment

Having been responsible for the Joy Division biopic Control (which we loved), a stunning portrait of Nelson Mandela (which we loved), numerous music videos for Depeche Mode (which we loved) and working with Coldplay (we’d rather stick pins in our eyes), Dutch photographer/bona fide genius Anton Corbijn was recently commissioned by Nike to produce a set of photographs featuring the new Netherlands away shirt.

The New Dutch Masters went on display on 23 February and the eight photographs were unveiled in the windows of de Bijenkorf department store in Amsterdam, where the unique worlds of the New Masters were brought to life in each window.

The selected New Masters are: Doutzen Kroes (film), Afrojack (music), Wesley Sneijder, Reverse (music), Nalden (digital), Natalie la Rose (song & dance), Gregory van der Wiel and the shirt itself.
