Bo-Kyung Kim     21     Striker     Cerezo Osaka

Back with Cerezo Osaka following a season on loan with Oita, South Korean winger/forward Kim continues to look sharp and his goalscoring tally is gradually moving north.  A real impact player in the J League and hugely popular at Osaka where there is a general feeling among many supporters that Kim’s move to Europe is more of a ‘when’ than an ‘if’.

His time at Oita appears to have helped with Kim’s confidence and senior call ups have continued.  Linked with a move to Stoke City in the summer, this never really looked a likely transfer and the best thing for Kim may be to continue sharpening his act in Japan.

The success that Shinji Kagawa has enjoyed since moving to Borussia Dortmund will act as a marker for Kim and it would be no surprise if he surfaces in the Bundesliga eventually, although there are several players ahead of him in the queue right now.

Yet to be tested away from Asia, good progress has been made so far, the next step is up to Kim.
