Hamdan Al Kamali

Hamdan Al Kamali     22     Defender     Al Wahda

A reasonably impressive centre back still plying his trade in the UAE, Al Kamali displays all the attributes of a natural born leader.   Needless to say Al Wahda want to hang onto their young defender, can afford to pay him and he is, after all, very much at home at the club.  With no disrespect to Al Wahda though, that’s not going to bring Al Kamali’s game on leaps and bounds.  A move to Europe looks likely at some point and Lyon were credited with an interest recently.

Not the most physically imposing of defenders, which would suggest that a move to England would be a bad idea, but if there is to be any real development in a player that looked a tremendous prospect as a youth international he really has to move on.  Aged 22, the sooner the better we say.

“Lyon would have been perfect for him, he plays for Al Wahda and he's doing great. Solid defender” - @DanaChino

“He's only 22 so he has got time. Al Wahda don’t want him to go. He was voted number 1 of the best 100 young players on the Don Balon list so it's good PR for the club.  He's a good size but he lacks a half yard of pace and his concentration can slip!” - @numfourteen14
