#IBWM50
Now you've devoured the #IBWM100, it's time for the less-garlanded #IBWM50. Fifty tracks that have made us sit up over the past 12 months. Unlike the 100, we're not revisiting last years 50 to see how they got on. That way madness lies.
First, however, some mentions for the ones that got away, i.e. aren't on Spotify, not that we've any idea what we'd drop in favour of any of them.
First up, The Harder It Hits from Andy Falkous's second album in his Christian Fitness guise. New Future Of The Left stuff next year, we're promised.
Anything by Andrew Weatherall is always welcome and his The Confidence Man would have been a shoo-in. Two of our favourite albums of the year came from Nightingales and The Fall and we'd have put in the former's Gales Doc and Dedication Not Medication from the latter. While poetry from Joe Hakim and Joe Duddell did make it, Outside Your House didn't - Photos Out There would have been in.
We loved Chumbawambanger from That Fucking Tank, Lordy O from the Thomas Wilby Gang, the brilliant Action Stations! from Flies On You and having to leave De La Soul's God It out was a particular wrench.
But life's too short for regrets. This is your #IBWM50 for 2015.
