BLESS BY ELECTRIC EYE

BLESS BY ELECTRIC EYE

Psych-rock they call it, but this sounds more mid-nineties/late-Madchester shoegaze to this writer.
Busting out of Bergen in Norway, Electric Eye gear up for the release of their forthcoming second  album (note 'second album' and not 'sophomore album' which is a thing that should be consigned to the music journalism knackers yard) Different Sun with the release of the single Bless. While Nordic in birth, it's conception was from warmer climes and frontman Øystein Braut told Consequence Of Sound: "I was traveling around the deserts of the southwestern part of the US last year. Even though this track was recorded in Bergen on the west coast of Norway, known for its intense rain all year through, ‘Bless’ is all about capturing the desert vibes that we drove through in our ’72 Buick Skylark muscle car; dust, heat and straight roads that go on further than the eye can see."

You can get Bless from off of iTunes while Different Sun is out on February 5.
